Modern Sculpture at the DeCordova
by Meredith Toler
On April 20th four camera club members headed to another off-Cape destination in the Boston area, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln. This contemporary art museum showcases a 35 acre sculpture park, the only outdoor contemporary sculpture park in New England and one of only a few sculpture parks in the world with a regular rotation of sculptures.
The weather was beautiful so we spent the majority of our visit outside. When leaving the museum we got a photography bonus by chancing upon a Minuteman re-enactment in a local park. Witnessing the participants in their Revolutionary War garb, which was a fun surprise for us all and reminded this photographer of childhood growing up in this historic area.
I hope you enjoy some of the photographs from this trip.
